Windmills! Originally uploaded by Bnita-Denise. I love the windmills in California. They are almost magical to me. I was so soothed by watching them twirl to their own rhythms — sometimes in perfect sync with others, sometimes not. I also love the harnessing of energy that is already there and in abundance.

Empanada’s Place Originally uploaded by Bnita-Denise. I made a pilgrimmage here — Diane (my sister) and I used to get empanadas all of the time when I was in LA in 1995. I got a dozen empanadas: 2 chicken, potato, eggplant, spinach, broccoli, and corn. I know that y’all are jealous.
